- Crimping tool and connectors, OR Solder gun, solder, and heat shrink
- Tape
- Wire cutter
- Zip ties

- AXSWC harness (12-pin harness with male headphone jack)
- Female headphone connector with stripped leads
WARNING
Remove the key from the ignition for several minutes before removing the factory radio. When testing aftermarket equipment, ensure all factory equipment is connected before cycling the key to ignition.
Preparation
- From axxessinterfaces.com submit the vehicle information in the Vehicle Fit Guide & AXSWC Install Instructions field.
- Click GET PARTS. You will be notified if your vehicle is compatible with the AXSWC interface.
- If the interface is compatible, click the link under the green bar titled AXSWC **** Wiring Instructions to download view an installation guide.
- (Optional) Print this document for use during installation.
NOTE
Though Metra has done extensive research, testing, and verification that the Steering Wheel Control (SWC) wires for the listed vehicles are accurate, it is the installer’s responsibility to verify that the Steering Wheel Control wires are installed correctly.
If a discrepancy is found after following all instructions, please notify Technical Support.
Installation
12-pin Harness
- Connect the Black wire to the chassis ground.
- Connect the Red wire to the accessory power.
- Locate the steering wheel control wire(s) in the vehicle's harness as noted in the AXSWC vehicle-specific document.
- Connect these wire(s) to the AXSWC.
Headphone Jack (3.5mm)
For the radios listed below:
- Connect the female headphone connector with stripped leads, to the male headphone SWC jack from the AXSWC harness.
- Tape off and disregard the remaining wires.

→ Parrot Asteroid Smart or Tablet

→ Universal “2 or 3 wire” radio
‣

Programming
Program the AXSWC as noted in the AXSWC vehicle-specific document.
