AXSSO-FD | Installation Instructions
Learn how to install the Ford Stop/Start Override Interface 2015-Up
The AXSSO-FD is designed to disengage the Stop/Start feature of the vehicle and keep that feature disengaged even after the key has been cycled. The AXSSO-FD will work with either an aftermarket radio or a factory radio.
A simple plug-and-play installation is required to install the device in the vehicle, and programming is accomplished through a Windows 10 computer via the Axxess Updater software program.

Programming
- Download and install the Axxess Updater software program.
- Connect the micro-B USB cable (sold separately) to the computer and AXSSO-FD interface. Open the Axxess Updater software program and wait until the word Ready is shown in the bottom left of the screen. Select Stop / Start. (Figure A)
- On the next screen that opens, select the year, make, and model of the vehicle, then press Program Interface. (Figure B)
- When the Configuration Successful box pops up, the programming process is complete. (Figure C)
Connections
These vehicles will connect to the wiring harness located at the climate control location.

From the Wiring Harness in the Vehicle Behind the Radio
- Unclip the connector located behind the climate control.
- Replace it with the connector from the AXSSO-FD harness, and then connect the other end to the climate control harness. (Figure A)
- Plug the AXSSO-FD harness into the AXSSO-FD interface. (Figure A)
These vehicles will connect to the wiring harness located at the climate control location.
From the OBD2 Dash Connector
- Disconnect the factory OBD2 connector from under the dash.
- Plug the AXSSO-FD harness into the OBD2 connector.
- Connect the AXSSO-FD harness to the wiring harness in the dash.
- Plug the AXSSO-FD harness into the AXSSO-FD interface.
- Zip tie the harness securely under the dash to avoid it from sagging.
